The ECG provides much information about the functioning of the heart muscle. You get electrodes taped on your skin for this. These display the activity of the heart. The ECG is made while you lie peaceful on an exam table. The examination takes approximately 10 minutes. The practice assistant carries out the ECG and your GP evaluates the ECG. In case of doubt the GP will consult with the cardiologist.
